The Perfect BBQ Sauce With Just The Right "Twang"






















This is quick and easy to put together and is gluten free as long as you purchase a gluten free ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. Gluten free is printed on most of these product labels now and is easy to find.  You can make this sauce ahead or double the recipe and freeze it, works great, I do it all the time. We have found it is really versatile, but is incredible with Pork Loins.

















You can make the sauce in just a couple minutes, and while it is simmering, heat up the BBQ. The sauce can either be spread on the meat at the end of the grilling time, spread over the meat before serving, or used as a dipping sauce.  This is how we like to use the sauce, we each have our own little dish.



This sauce is also great on a toasted BBQ sandwich . It is also delicious with vegan or vegetarian meat substitutes for sandwiches or as a dipping sauce for nuggets, regular or vegetarian.

Weight watchers can add 2 points per serving. The recipe makes 6 servings, so you can divide it up according to the amount you want.

BBQ Sauce With a "Twang"            Serves 6
1 cup chopped onion, fine
1 clove garlic, minced
2 Tbsp. cooking oil
3/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup lemon juice
3 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp Tabasco pepper sauce

In a small saucepan cook onion and garlic in oil for a couple minutes, until tender.
Stir in all the other ingredients.
Simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

That's it!! So simple, right? And wait until you try it.....this is going to be a favorite I hope, it sure is with us.
