Cathy's Peanut Butter Frosted Brownies

These will melt in your mouth. Get ready to eat way too many!

A very talented co-worker made these for a cookie exchange and I absolutely must share them with you!

This is one of my favorite splurges!  But then... I love chocolate and peanut butter together, don't you?

Make these regular or gluten free.
Prepare any favorite  9"x 13" brownie recipe or a favorite box type. Gluten free brownie mixes are available every where now too, which makes it nice for so many of us.  Betty Crocker even has one.

Prepare the brownies as usual and cool completely before frosting them with this amazing peanut butter frosting.

Peanut Butter Frosting    
1/4 cup butter or a nondairy type like Earth Balance, for vegans
1 cup creamy peanut butter, any variety 
3 cups powdered sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
6-7 Tbsp milk or a nondairy substitute for vegans, I used soy
Mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl except reserve a couple Tbsp of milk or milk substitute.
Add remaining milk or milk substitute until desired consistency.
Spread on cooled brownies.

Stack some up and enjoy!
