Peppered Steaks On The Grill

No picture for this post yet. To be honest I wasn't happy with how they turned out... but if you are in the mood for a BBQ steak, here is a great recipe to try.  The flavor was perfect.

Start with an tender cut of beef.  Ribeye, tenderloin, T-bone, porterhouse and sirloin are some excellent choices for grilling.
This recipe is taken from the magazine, Taste Of Home.
Plan to season steaks one hour before grilling.

Peppered Steaks On The Grill
4 steaks of your choice (1-1/2 inches thick)
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp paprika
2 tsp dried ground thyme
2 tsp dried ground oregano
1-1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt
1 tsp lemon pepper
1 tsp ground red pepper

Brush steaks lightly with olive oil.
In a small bowl, combine all seasonings.  Sprinkle seasonings over steaks and press into both sides.
Cover and chill for 1 hour.
When ready, grill steaks turning once over medium-hot coals 14-18 minutes for rare; 18-22 minutes for medium; 24-28 minutes for well-done.  Serve up and enjoy!
