Gluten Free SunButter Chocolate Crispy Treats

I promise...this is as good as it looks!

Every bite is creamy rich chocolate with crunchy crispy bites. Might as well just call it candy, because it's just as good. I found this yummy gluten free, peanut free recipe from the SunButter website.  I can't have sugar cane and I was in the mood for some chocolate. This recipe sure did satisfy that craving!!

Of course if you can have peanut butter that can easily be used in the place of the Sunbutter. And if you don't have problems with gluten, by all means use a regular crispy rice cereal.

Gluten Free SunButter Chocolate Crispy Treats                    12 squares
1/2 cup honey or agave
3/4 cup unsweetened sunflower seed butter
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups gluten free brown rice cereal (regular crispy rice cereal if gluten free is not needed)

Prepare an 8"x 8" square pan with a non stick cooking spray or line with wax paper.
In a large saucepan combine honey, sunflower seed butter, and coconut oil on medium heat. Stir and heat mixture until creamy. Remove from heat. Stir in cocoa powder and vanilla. Mix well.
Stir in rice cereal and mix until all evenly covered. Pour into prepared pan and press down gently.
Let sit or better yet refrigerate until firm.   Slice and enjoy.  Lift out first if wax paper was used, then cut into squares.   Store in the refrigerator.

Oh so a chocolate crunch candy bar.

If you count weight watcher points, count 6 points per square.

Easy steps:

Heat honey, Sunbutter, and coconut oil on medium heat until creamy.

Remove from heat and stir in cocoa and vanilla.

Mix thoroughly.

Stir in crispy rice cereal until well coated.

Press into prepared pan.  And let sit to firm, or place in refrigerator.

Slice up and indulge in a delicious gluten free, peanut free chocolate treat!  Kids and adults will love these!
